The NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) and MaxPreps has recognized Caleb Gibbons (Toledo, OH) as Player of the Week for the state of Virginia for the second straight week (September 6-10).
The Tigers had three games during that week where Gibbons recorded 4 goals and 2 assists against Holy Cross. In Hargrave’s 1st Annual Soccer Classic he recorded 3 goals and 2 assists in each game against Southwest Virginia Home School and Lynchburg Home School respectively.
“To come in to a new environment and learn a new system, speaks volumes to the rhythm he has found in the first couple of weeks of the season,” stated head coach Jeremy Eubank.
On the season, Gibbons has 17 goals and 8 assists; the Tigers return to action on Thursday, September 15 against Covenant School out of Charlottesville at 4:30. The Tigers will return action at Simpson Parade field on Friday, September 16 against New Covenant at 4:30.
