The Hargrave Summer Experience Starts July 6. Secure Your Spot Today!

Campus Visits for Prospective Families

Finding the right school for your young man can seem daunting. How can you know which school is the right fit for his needs? Which school will best prepare him to accomplish his future goals?

An in-person visit to the campus of any potential school can be a valuable tool in evaluating which school is best for your young man. During your visit, you will be afforded the opportunity to see the school’s facilities and meet the people who can answer your questions face to face. Perhaps most importantly, an in-person visit can give you a sense of the school’s community and ethos that you could not get in any other way.

At Hargrave, we offer a few options to visit our campus and learn more about our programs. The most common visit option families choose is the personal tour. Personal tours offer a more personal and customized visit experience for prospective families. Other families prefer to begin their Hargrave journey by attending one of our open houses held throughout the year. Open houses offer an introduction to the academy and an opportunity to meet the academy’s key leaders in a group setting with other prospective families. Finally, many families chose to explore Hargrave by participating in a Cadet shadow day visit. Your young man can spend part of the day shadowing a Hargrave cadet and getting an up-close look at the Hargrave experience. Cadet shadow days are often partnered with a parent tour of campus.

If an in-person campus visit isn’t possible for your family, keep an eye on our events page and Facebook page for upcoming admissions events. You never know when the Hargrave admissions team might be in a city near you.

As you consider your school choice options for your young man, we would like to take this opportunity to extend a warm invitation to you to come visit our campus in person. You can schedule your campus visit here or by contacting our admissions office at 800-432-2480. In the meantime, feel free to take a virtual tour of campus. The virtual tour will help you get a feel for our campus and programs before your in-person visit.
