Crawford First Round 2010 NBA Selection

Hargrave Military Academy’s Post-Graduate Basketball program lead by Coach Kevin Keatts has once again had a former player selected in the first round of the National Basketball Association (NBA) draft.

Jordan Crawford, Hargrave Class of 2007, was selected as the 27th overall pick by the New Jersey Nets and later traded to the Atlanta Hawks. Over the last three years Hargrave has had four players selected in the NBA draft, three of which were selected in the first round. In the 2008 NBA draft, Joe Alexander was selected 8th by the Milwaukee Bucks and Marresse Speights was selected 16th by the Philadelphia 76’ers. Sam Young was selected in the 2009 second round as the 36th overall pick by the Memphis Grizzlies.

Hargrave has a total of seven players currently in the NBA. They include: Josh Howard, David West, James White, Joe Alexander, Marresse Speights, Sam Young and Jordan Crawford.
