On Saturday the Tigers competed at the Knights Crossing Invitational. The event included 61 schools, over eighteen hundred runners and 40 national elite runners. Hargrave competed in two races placing 16th out of 22 schools in the Varsity race and 18th in the JV race. Cadet Garret Peterson led the scoring for the Tiger top seven, followed by Cadets Russell Davis, Zach Bunner, Daniel Koenig, and Harry Crosby. Cadets Nick Paul and Saul Snell rounded out the Hargrave varsity effort.In the JV race, Cadet Garret Fox led the scoring followed by Cadets Kyle McFarland, Ruizhe Liu, Weian Chen and Virgil Liedy. Cadets Brandon Hoffman, Corey Beck, Haden Walker, Daniel Su, Sixing Jiao and Tanner Rose rounded out the JV field for Hargrave.
The high level of competition pushed several Tigers to personal best on the course. Cadet Fox led the way improving his course time by 7:07 over last year, followed by Chen 3:53, Snell 3:16, Davis 2:11, Koenig 1:47, Beck 1:14 and Bunner 0:56.
