Fullback James Lipscomb pulverized the Frostburg defense and opened up holes for Tiger runners all day.

Jabari Carr also played well catching 2 balls for 35 yards including an electrifying 23 yard grab that got the Tigers to the 2 yard line. Along the offensive line, the Tigers played extremely well not allowing a sack and paving the way for the Tigers run game. Tom Pizzurro, Andy Bell, and Sawyer Russell all played solidly. Ryan Grimes, Paul Thompson, Harry Foster, Robert Fitzgerald, and Winston Hill also played well and contributed to the tremendous offensive performance.

Defensively, the Tigers played extremely physical and were active around the ball all day long. Defensive lineman Derek Peyton played very well, and clogged the middle of the line all day. Brandon Hunter, Cole Alexander, and Justin Kee all had big days, each recording 2 tackles for loss. Ego Ferguson Jr had yet another solid day, compiling 4 tackles and 2 sacks.

The Linebackers were stout stuffing the run and forcing the Frostburg offense to abandon the run and throw the ball. Foster Jones recorded 6 tackles, Jules Forney had 5 tackles, and Daniel Cox, had 4 tackles and did a good job blitzing and pressuring the Frostburg quarterbacks. Jimmie Lewis also played well.

In the secondary, the Tigers played very well. Dylan Farrington had yet another good game, coming up in run support and being a physical lock-down cornerback. He also had an interception returned for a touchdown. Calvin Tiggle recovered a fumble caused by Ego Ferguson Jr, and had numerous big hits from his safety spot. Ishmael Banks and Ross Madison also played well. Norcross, GA native Prince Kent also came up big with an interception, and safety Alec Wood broke up the pass that caused Kent’s interception. Cornerback Justin Black was solid all day, and also had three solid tackles on kickoff coverage.

Punter Troy Krepich kicked the ball well as did kicker Steve Yun.

The coaching staff is pleased with the team’s performance, but knows they need to continue to get better heading into the bye week this week.
