Free-throws push North Cross away from Tigers

Coach Joe Moran

Coming off our most exciting win, heading into the Christmas break, traveling a few hours, and battling injuries to a couple of key players may have made it difficult for the JV Tigers to focus for their game on Wednesday night in Roanoke.

The team did have a good start to the game, leading 11-7 after the first quarter.  But the North Cross pressure defense and our own lack of concentration took its toll on the Tigers. They didn’t give up even though we were down by 16 in the third quarter.  Reaching deep for one last push, the Tigers got within eight points after a three pointer by Cadet Edwards with just a few minutes remaining.  But, North Cross did a good job making free throws and the JV Tigers fell 41-33.  We are looking forward to the break and getting back to our winning ways with a home game on January 10.
