Golf “Putts” Up Its Best Performance of the Season

Caleb Pitcher

Yesterday the golf team traveled to Blue Ridge for our final regular season match. Going into the match we knew it was going to take our best match of the year to win but we were feeling confident. After a very interesting round of golf and 2 hit moving cars, it was an extremely close match and came down to some shockingly good scores out of the 5 and 6 pairings. Unfortunately, those scores came from the Blue Ridge players, edging us out by just a few strokes, 184-189.

While we did come up short, I am still proud of the team with 5 out of 6 players scoring or tying their season best round. These great performances did in fact lead to our best team round of the year as well. This is extremely exciting and confidence building as we head back up to Harrisonburg for the conference championship next Monday. It sounds like a broken record at this point but yet again this team showed that we are going to keep getting better.

Scores:
