Hargrave traveled to Liberty Christian Academy for a non-conference game. Every second counted, as the contest went down to the wire and the Tigers were able to prevail, 45-42. The Bulldogs jumped out to an early 13-6 lead behind Tiger miscues in the first quarter. Hargrave ramped up the defensive effort in the second quarter to outscore Liberty Christian 18-7 to take a four point lead into intermission. The third quarter was a see-saw battle that saw neither side gain an advantage. The Bulldogs used timely three point shots to surge ahead by 3 with 45 seconds left in the game. However, the Tigers remained poised and confident. Solid execution in the final minute of the game saw Hargrave convert on six consecutive foul shots to finish the game with a three point victory.
The Tigers were led by Kyle Rhoades with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Josh Farmer kicked in 10 points and 3 steals. Jordan Gee finished with 10 points and 8 rebounds, included four of the clutch free throws at the end of the game.
