The Hargrave Tigers completed their regular season tied for first in the Blue Ridge Athletic Conference and earned the #2 seed in the conference tournament after tiebreakers! The Tigers had a magical run to the BRAC Conference Championship game against #1 seed Blue Ridge, which included an incredible comeback capped off by a Tyson Mobley buzzer beating 17-footer to knock off Miller School in the semifinals!
Despite falling in the BRAC Conference Championship game to Blue Ridge, when VISAA announced the seeding for the VISAA Division 2 State Basketball Tournament, Hargrave found themselves with the #2 seed, which comes with a first-round bye and a home game in the Elite Eight! This is Hargrave’s fifth trip to the Elite Eight in the past seven years and it will be the seventh straight year that the Tigers will be hosting a VISAA Division 2 State Basketball Tournament game.
Tip-off is scheduled for Wednesday March 1st inside historic Walter Davis Gymnasium at 6:30 PM against the winner of #7 Virginia Academy and #10 Fredericksburg Christian. Admission for the game will be $5.00!
