Hargrave JV Soccer scored a big upset on Thrusday, September 11, 2014 against Holy Cross. With a great defense and an aggressive offense, the team dominated the game.
With help from their teammates, five Cadets managed to rain seven balls into the Holy Cross goal. Cadet Jose Bendeck-Posados managed three goals. Cadets Nicholas Summers, Nicolas Jimenez, Armel Ngabo and Ryan Phillips each scored a goal.
For Phillips, it was his first goal in a long, distingusihed Hargrave soccer career. It was a very exciting moment.
“The Cadets were so excited, and I can say this was the biggest one game turn around with any team I have every coached,” Coach Bill Eberly said. “Something just clicked today and they did exactly what we asked them to do in practice. Pass the ball, play physical, get shots on goal, play with passion and play for each other. I am so proud of these young men and to see their progress.”
