The Tigers traveled to Charlottesville on Tuesday afternoon to square off against conference opponent Miller School. The Tigers would control the first half with solid play from the midfield as they were able to win the ground ball war and limit the transition game of the Mavericks.
The first half saw goals from Seniors Rhys Emlet, Colby Hunt, and Junior Steele Burkett. Additionally, Freshman Griffin Jennings tallied 2 goals in the first half. Adrian Roman, Marcus Chase,Griffin Jennings each earned an assist in the first half to end the scoring in the first half at 5-0.
The Tigers continued their dominance in the second half earning 6 more goals in the second stanza of play. Again, Seniors Rhys Emlet and Colby Hunt would lead the scoring. Emlet would net two more goals, Hunt three goals, and Jennings earning one more goal. The second half showed assists from Steele Burkett ( 2), Griffin Jennings ( 1), and Chase Rogers (1).
On the defense side of the field, solid performances were seen from Zack King, Logan Mitchell, Christian Mitchell, Marcus Chase, and Irvin Huggins. Goaltender Adrian Roman had a great day in net as he recorded his 2nd shutout of the season and recorded 11 saves on the day. Goalie Lawrence Abuhamra recorded one save to end the match.
