Hargrave overwhelms Holy Cross

Brett Thomas
The varsity baseball team took to action yesterday afternoon defeating Holy Cross by a score of 22-2. Hargrave took advantage of some arrant pitching by Holy Cross and got the hits when needed to pour the runs on and never look back. Hargrave scored six runs in the first and third innings and scored five runs in the second and fourth innings. Getting on the scoreboard every inning, limiting mistakes and getting great pitching and hitting from the guys made for an exciting game to be apart of.

Cadet Nick Paul, was the player of the game going 4-4 with four runs scored, and four RBI’s. Paul was the starting pitcher as well, facing 23 batters, gave up 3 hits, walking 3 and striking out 8 Holy Cross batters. Cadet Keegan Ferer was 2-2 with 2 RBI’s and 2 stolen bases. Cadets Braden Barnett, Ryan Castellano, Sadat Slade, and Jamil Sabbatt all contributed with hits a piece.
