Hargrave Military Academy Post Graduate Basketball has announced it’s slate of games for the 2016-17 season. The Tigers will play a national schedule that will put them under the brightest lights and playing against some of the toughest competition in the country. This season’s schedule features last year’s High School National Champion, a nationally ranked top 10 junior college and no fewer than eight games against top-10 nationally ranked prep teams. This season, the Tigers will travel to play events in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, West Virginia, Kentucky and Connecticut. Coach A.W. Hamilton commented on how strong the schedule is this year:
“We have 41 games scheduled, we travel all across the country and we’re playing the most talented teams night in and night out for a purpose…we’re looking to get every one of our players ready for what they will face at the next level. It’s not easy to play in the ACC, the Big East, the Big 10 or any college basketball conference, and it’s a grind that we want our players to be ready for.”
The Tigers’ first step towards defending their 2016 Prep National Championship will be on October 28th, in Walter Davis Gymnasium. The game will serve as Hargrave’s annual “Tip-Off Classic” and will be honoring the Boys and Girls Clubs this year. A complete game schedule can be found at the following link:
