Hargrave Shatters Record with 10 Early Division 1 Signees

The defending Prep National Champion Hargrave Military Academy Post Graduate basketball team hosted their annual National Signing Day Ceremony on Wednesday, November 9th. The ceremony, hosted on Hargrave’s campus in Chatham, VA, took place before a standing room only crowd in Sanford Auditorium. The players’ families, friends, classmates, Hargrave faculty and staff, local business owners and multiple media outlets packed the auditorium to witness the historic event.

Hargrave has won three national championships, has been to 10 straight national elite eights (the only prep team in the nation to accomplish this) and signed over 100 division 1 prospects in the past ten years. Hargrave was also named “Program of the Decade” in a nationwide analysis by RealGM.com in 2012.  This year, however, marked the most early Division 1 signees in the illustrious history the program. 10 players signed Division 1 scholarships early, officially committing to play for some of the biggest college programs in the country. The scholarship total for the signees exceeds $1.7 million. This year’s class shattered the previous school record of 8 early signees, achieved as recently as 2015.

The Tigers are 11-0 this season, with an average margin of victory of over thirty points. They are currently on a 61 game home win streak and a 41 game overall win streak. A full list of early signees is below:
