On October 25, 2012, Hargrave’s Varsity Rifle team traveled to the Colonial Shooting Academy in Richmond, Virginia to compete in the Virginia Military Schools Rifle League (VMSRL) state tournament. The Tigers prevailed with a final score of 1,951, beating second place Fork Union (1,912). Fishburne took third (1,765).
