Hot Start Continues for Tigers

Benjamin J Veshi

Similar to the Tigers’ first two contests, their suffocating defense proved to be the difference in the first half. Hargrave consistently forced turnovers that led to a rush of fast break points as they went into halftime leading 32-14.

Defense continued to be the theme in the second half for the Tigers as they held Westover to 10 second half points. Both Andrew McWilliam and Ashton Hammock paced Hargrave as they continued to play with great enthusiasm throughout the 54-24 victory.

Notable Performances Included:
Ashton Hammock–19 points
Andrew McWilliam–18 points
Negatu Syrcle–6 points
Alex Turner–6 points

The Tigers are back in action after the Christmas Break on January 10th as they take on Virginia Episcopal School. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 PM from Walter Davis Gymnasium.
