Huge 2nd Half Propels Tigers to Blowout Win

Hargrave scored 16 points in the first three minutes of the second half to seal the win against a scrappy Bryant & Stratton College team on Super Bowl Sunday. After the big push to start the frame, the Tigers continued to push the lead out, stretching it as high as 47 points before settling on a 99-58 final score. D.J. Myers scored 16 of his team-high 22 points after the break, while Rob Peterson (19 points, team-high 7 assists, 6 rebounds) continued to impact the game all over the court. Connor Crabtree (17 points, 4 assists) and Tre King (16 points, 5 rebounds) were also key in the second half push.

The Tigers extended their record to 24-3 and pushed their home winning streak to 88 games with the win. They will be back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Durham to take on the Crusaders of Mt. Zion Christian Academy. The next home game for Hargrave is scheduled for Thursday, February 15th, when the Tigers will take on Ridgeview Prep. The tip-off in Walter Davis Gymnasium is scheduled for 6:00pm.
