Justin Brown Commits to USF

Justin Brown, an athletic 6’6″ wing, has ended his recruitment and will sign a full scholarship to play basketball for the University of South Florida. Justin was one of the most sought-after recruits in the country all season long, earning 12 Division 1 scholarship offers. After visiting campus this past weekend, Justin fell in love with the school and made his pledge.

Head Coach A.W. Hamilton commented on Justin: “Justin Brown will be sorely missed at Hargrave next year. His combination of size, athleticism and shooting are rarely seen. Even more rare is to find someone who is as good a person as Justin is. He’s a 3.8 student in the classroom and as nice of a young man as you can imagine off the court. It’s a reflection of his strong character and his incredible family. I have no doubt that Justin will make an immediate impact at USF and help them rise to the top of the Big East.”

Justin, a Birmingham, Alabama native, was a key contributor to Hargrave’s 43-2 record this season, playing in all but one game and averaging 11.2 points per game, 7.1 rebounds per game and 2.2 steals per game while shooting 59.2% from the floor and 38.9% from 3PT range. Justin’s commitment makes him one of the school-record 12 Division 1 pledges from this year’s roster.
