JV Baseball Faces Tough Losses

Greg Hawley

Even though the boys were mismatched against a talented and well-coached Miller School team on Friday, they worked together well.  Miller won 13-0.

Saturday the boys played a double header at Chatham High School against Tunstall Middle and Chatham Middle.

The Infield worked well together, but Tunstall capitalized on our weaknesses and won 11-1.  The boys played an excellent game against Chatham after a long day. Going into the final inning they were only down 7-3.  The final score was Chatham 9, HMA 3.

We have a roster of 16 players, with only five having played baseball before this year.  The coaches from Tunstall (five coaches) and Chatham (four coaches) and many folks from the sizable crowd approached me after the games to comment on how well behaved and respectful our guys were, and how well they worked together.
