The JV basketball team traveled to Lynchburg to take on EC Glass. A slow start put the young Tigers in a tough situation, but they continued to work hard and play with great intensity.
Falling behing 20-6 after one quarter, the Tigers found a groove in the second and outscored Glass in the second quarter to trail 32-20 at the half. After a half time chat, the Tigers came out and of the locker room and took the fight to Glass outscoring them 17-11 in the quarter and only trailed by six entering the final frame. The Tigers then just ran out of gas in the fourth quarter and fell 58-45.
The Tigers were led in scoring by Cadet Jacobs with 14 points and Cage Edwards with 10. Patrick Franzoni helped the comeback effort with great defense and by collecting double digit rebounds. The Tigers will be back in action Thursday when they take on LCA at home. They would love to have you come out and support them in what should be another great game.
