The Hargrave JV Basketball team ran into a good Covenant team and lost 26 to 54. The game started out with Covenant ona run with the first 9 points. Hargrave played a good 5-minute period to gain backthe advantage, ending the first quarter with a 15 – 9 score.
In the second quarter the Tiger shooting went cold and scored only 2 points. Even though HMA played well in the second half, they did not catch up.
Leading scorers for HMA were Cory Wood, Markez Newkirk, Jontae Henry, and Mathew Fasul. The next game is Tuesday the 10th versus Fishburne Academy.
