The HMA JV basketball team opened the season against Tunstall. The team started out the first quarter very slowly, bothered by first game jitters and a good Tunstall team. By the end of the first quarter, the Tigers were down down by fourteen. After a slow start, the team played much better and came together as a team before falling to Tunstall by a score of 51-34.
Cory Wood led the team with 18 points. Other scoring contributors included Markez Newkirk, Trent Lovelace, Matthew Fasul and Ty Hubbard. The Tigers’ next game will be away against North Cross.
