The JV Basketball team continued their good play at Roanoke Catholic yesterday and came away with a 65-48 victory and their seventh win in a row. The game was relatively close throughout the first half, the Tigers moved out to a 12 point lead, but Roanoke closed the gap to six by halftime. The third quarter proved to be the difference again for the the Tigers as they turned up the defensive pressure, forced several turnovers and forged ahead 48-34 heading into the final frame. Any attempt at a comeback was thwarted by a steal, key rebound or a big shot.
Cadet Peluso led a balanced Tiger attack with a game high 18 points. Cadet Billups had 12 and Cadet Wheeler had 9. Five other cadets had at least 5 points and all played very solid. We are back in action with two games this weekend at home. Covenant on Friday at 4:30 and an EC Glass rematch Saturday at 1200. They would love you support for either or both of these games.
