This is the type of game fans love to see. The game was close from start to finish. Both teams played in your face full court defense in the first half to the point of exhaustion and then a half court game the second half.
The game was won at the free throw line in the 4th quarter with us making 12 out of 19 charity shots in that frame. This was more attempts than we had had in any one game. We shot 17/27 from the line in the game overall. We had more points than any game of the year and gave up more points also. The Bulldogs were everybit as good as us in all facets of the game.
Nick Barr and Josh Rudolph lead the scoring with 17. Andrew Sigmon had his season high with 8. Grant Chandler had 9. Keiland Harris 7, Brendan Courrier 4, and Steven Williams 2.
Barr lead the rebounding with a team season high of 12, including 6 offensive. He also lead the team with 5 assists. Harris, Rudolph, and Sigmon paced the team with 3 steals each. Jarrod Patterson had 3 rebounds, an assist, and a steal to help in the middle. David Kanaszka added 2 rebounds while Sigmon had a season high 2 blocked shots.
As a team we shot 47% from the field, had 10 assists, 16 steals, 2 blocks, and 12 turnovers. The JV team ran its current streak to 21 wins in a row over two years, but came within an eyelash of losing.
Nick Barr has been on the team during that whole streak as a Captain. Afsheen Robinson and Brenden Courrier are also second year members of the team.
