Hargrave 0 – LCA 33
The JV Football Tigers got an amazing opportunity to play under the lights on Liberty University’s artificial turf field against the LCA Bulldogs. Even though Hargrave was able to put together 2 great drives, they were unable to take advantage and put any points on the board. After being down 21-0 at halftime, the tigers came out and played hard in the second half. Despite a great effort and even better attitudes, LCA was just too much to handle.
Offensively, the tigers were lead on the ground by Dev Bailey. Chris Ivery-Olds directed the offense at the quarterback position. The offensive line really stepped it up in the second half to put together some long runs and 2 long drives.
The defense had a pretty strong game with good play all around. The defensive line was anchored down by Charles Corpening and Kevin Weir. The linebacking core was lead by Clay Carver, Jon Lee, and Dev Bailey. The defensive backs were lead by Chris Ivery-Olds.
The tigers next game will be at Tunstall High School.
