Hargrave 3 – Carlisle 3
The Tigers tied the Chiefs at 3 goals.
Despite a display of skills and ball control the Tigers were not able to add another win to their record. The Chiefs proved to be a hard and well-prepared opponent.
The Tigers accumulated a total of eleven shots on goal during the first period, but only capitalized on one of those attempts off the cleats of Ben Oliver with Harrison William’s assist. A free kick and a quick breakaway gave the Chiefs the lead in less than six minutes. The 2-1 score remained until the end of the first half.
Two minutes after the second half whistle, Ben Oliver tied the game at two after taking a corner kick by Eric Park. The Tigers kept pressuring the Carlisle Chiefs again with no immediate results. Carlisle would take advantage of a defensive error and take the lead with eleven minutes of game time remaining. The Tigers did not rest and kept pressing harder until finally, with three minutes left, Ben Oliver saved the day and scored the goal for the tie.
