Hargrave 1 – Holy Cross 3
The JV Tigers started off their 2008/2009 Season with a heart felt loss to Holy Cross. The first half saw Hargrave being out shot by their opponents 16-6 resulting in a 2-0 deficit going into half-time. The Tigers came back and quickly scored in the second half to close the deficit. However, Holy Cross then scored again resulting in the 3-1 loss. However, the Tigers had 22 shots on goal by the end of the game tieing Holy Cross’ shots on goal. Offense worked hard Cadet Simms and Cadet Lowstetter having most of the shots on goal with Cadets Batholomew and Nam assisting. A strong defense lead by Goal Keeper Brendan McCabe kept the scoring to a minimum.
