Hargrave 1 – Holy Cross 4
After a week off the field the Tigers returned to play their last game of the season against Holy Cross. Our opponent started playing aggressively the first half and kept us busy in the defensive area. However, the Tigers kept looking for spaces and creating opportunities, but without any luck. Holy Cross responded to our attacks and scored an early goal in the first half. The score would remain 0-1 for the rest of the first period.
On the second half, Holy Cross scored two more goals and took a penalty kick that Reeves Hollar stopped with a magnificent dive. The Tigers reacted with Heath Light and Cameron Sherill in the assist. Light took a long shot from outside the area, which passed over the goalie’s head and stretched arms and found the net at the bottom of the goal. Holy Cross would tally a final goal to seal the score at 1-4.
