Hargrave 3 – LCA 4
The Tigers suffered their first defeat against the LCA Bulldogs.
The game developed in even terms regarding ball possession and goal opportunities. Ben Oliver scored early in the first period with the assist of Patrick George. LCA quickly reacted and tied the game. Minutes later in the same first period, Patrick George sent the Tigers ahead in the score after a swift breakaway, but the Bulldogs responded with two consecutive goals to tie and take the lead with a 3-2 score that would remain until the end of the first period.
The Tigers controlled the ball during most of the second period, but were unable to capitalize on their efforts to beat LCA’s defense. The Bulldogs would surprise the Tigers with a quick return and a goal towards the middle of the second half. Yet, the HMA pride did not shatter and the Tigers pressed on and with little time left Ben Oliver took a rebound off the goalie’s hands and scored the third goal for the Tigers.
