Hargrave 2 – RVCS 3
Despite the adverse result, the Tigers played a very good game against Roanoke Valley. Hargrave opened the score with a goal from Garrett Jennings (2G), who found a loose ball outside the big area and made a great shot on the top right angle of Roanoke’s goal. Later, still in the first half, RVCS scored once, tying up the game before halftime.
Roanoke gave the Tigers few opportunities on the second period and managed to keep us at bay. They scored twice and put the score on their side, however, the Tigers did not dismay and continued trying, but were unable to find the net until later near the end of the match.
Heath Light (1G) took care of a foul kick outside the rectangle and aimed it at the top left angle of the goal, which resulted in our second and last goal of the match. Hargrave continued pressing on Roanoke’s goal but couldn’t find the net.
