After a hard-fought afternoon, Hargrave was defeated 0-9. VES proved to be more developed than our much younger team, but we gained valuable experience from this match. It was particularly eye-opening to see our 7th and 8th graders competing against high school juniors. I couldn’t be prouder of the fight our players showed and their refusal to give up or back down. Despite the loss, they displayed tremendous resilience and a strong commitment to improving their skills.
Players of the Match:
A special congratulations goes to Noah Oakes and Brandon Hyon, who delivered the standout performances of the day. Both faced much taller and more developed juniors but fought hard and never backed down. Their opponents even commended their grit and resilience, a testament to their determination.
Thank You:
A heartfelt thank you to the Oakes family for traveling to Lynchburg and supporting the team. Your presence and encouragement mean a lot to all of us.
We look forward to building on this experience as we continue to improve and prepare for future matches!
