The Hargrave JV Tigers had another exciting come-from-behind victory against Eastern Mennonite H.S. JV team. The Tigers had a poor first half, committing a lot of turnovers. The Tigers got down in the first half by as many as eleven points but made a little run before half time to cut the score to within six points.
In the second half HMA turned it around and got up by 3 points with 2 minutes to go but lost the lead as EMHS scored the next 2 baskets. The final minute thirty saw Cory Wood hit a clutch 3 pointer and knocked down 2 clutch free throws and Maarkez Newkirk hit 2 clutch free throws to give HMA the final margin of victory.
Cory Wood was high scorer for the Tigers with 23 points, Matt Fasul had 5, and Markez Newkirk had 8 for the Tigers.
