The Varsity Lacrosse team traveled to Richmond Tuesday, to take on the Titans of Trinity Episcopal School in a Division 1 VISAA match-up.
The Tigers came out roaring as they quickly pounced on the Titans with a 5-0 lead in the first quarter. The Titans were able to get 2 of their own goals late in the first on extra man situations to close out the first quarter of play.
The Titans gave some push back in the second quarter outscoring the Tigers three goals to two. The Tigers held on to a small 7-5 lead at half time.
The third quarter of play was strong for both teams as the Tigers added 5 more to their total and the Titans added their final 3 of the game for a score of 12-8 entering the final quarter of play.
The Tigers would shut the door on any comeback hopes the Titans may have had with he addition of 5 more goals and a lights-out performance in net in the fourth quarter.
Game balls were awarded to Jake Bledsoe and Jacob Hornberger for their solid play throughout the day. With a final score of 17-8 this win moves the Varsity Lacrosse Team to a 7-2 record for the season.
The Tigers take the field again at home Thursday Night at 6:30 PM against VISAA and Military Rival Fork Union Military Academy!
