The Tigers took the field Friday Night during Homecoming festivities against Fuqua School. The Tigers dominated play from the first face-off to the final horn. The Tigers got on the board first with a pair of quick goals from seniors Connor Rogers and Nick Duran setting the pace and tone of the game for the night. Fuqua played with heart and grit throughout the game and capitalized on a transition breakdown by the Tigers as well as an even-strength situation for two goals of their own. With a significant lead on the scoreboard by halftime, the Tigers were able to insert many of the bench players who were seeing the field for the first time all season. True to form the Tigers continued to put goals on the scoreboard and play selfless lacrosse as veterans worked with the younger players to help them get on the stat sheet. After four quarters of play, the Tigers brought home a homecoming night win 14-2.
Notable performances for the Tigers were Nick Duran (2 goals, 8 Assists), Connor Rogers (8 goals and 1 assist), Alex Wilson (2 goals and 2 assists), Caleb Rogers (2 assists), and Iver Liu (1 goal and 1 assist).
With the win, the Tigers Lacrosse program advances to 7-4 overall and will be in action again Thursday afternoon up at Fishburne Military School.
