Junior Chris Lomax and Junior Matthew-Phillip Stevenson have both been selected to compete in the prestigious Virginia Top 80 showcase this weekend. The event takes place at Virginia Wesleyan College and is put on by the well-known Phenom Hoops organization. The all-day showcase will run on March 22nd. The showcase is an invite-only event, and only the top 80 players (from the 2016,2017 and 2018 graduating classes) received invites. The confirmed field features underclassmen who have already committed to the University of Virginia, University of Clemson, University of Pittsburgh, and countless others that hold offers from high-major programs as well. It is a tremendous honor to be included in the field, and these young men have worked hard to gain the recognition. Chris was a 1st team All-VIC awardee this season after leading the team in points per game (14.2), rebounds per game (4.7), assists per game (3.0) and steals per game (2.8). Matt was a 2nd team all-VIC performer this season, finishing second on the team in points per game (11.4) and steals per game (2.1). He also chipped in 3.6 rebounds per game. The Tigers made their 5th straight VISAA State Tournament this season, finishing second in the very competitive Virginia Independant Conference.
