The middle school basketball team got a huge win last night by a score of 45-30 over the Raiders of North Cross. The win was extra special because the boys defeated a very tough and scrappy team that they had lost to earlier in the year.
Leading the way for Hargrave on both ends of the floor was Ijumah Ezuma (30 points, 10 rebounds, 7 blocks). Jaylen Martin (8 Points, 4 Rebounds, 7 assist, 2 steals) and David Hubbard (8 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals) both chipped in and had solid performances. But overall, this night belong to Titus Davis and Philip Atuonwu. These two played locked-down defense on the Raiders’ best player and shooter, holding him to 7 points.
It was a total team effort. With the win, the young Tigers’ overall record improves to 8-2 on the year.
