The middle school basketball team got another great team Thursday night, when the young Tigers defeated the Chatham Middle School 14U team by a score of 44-23.
After a slow start (10-10 was the score after the first period) the young Tigers started to play some really tough defense and were able to win the next three quarters.
Leading the way for the Tigers was Graham Kelly (16 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals), David Hubbard (8 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals), Philip Antuonwu (7 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals), and Jaylen Martin (6 points, 5 assist, 3 steals).
With the win, the young Tigers record improves to 7-2 on the year. The middle school team returns to the hardwoods on Monday, February 6th, when they play host to Roanoke Catholic. Tip off is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
