For the second time in his tenure at Hargrave, Tim Oditt has been named the Virginia Independent Conference Coach of the Year. Oditt has guided the Tigers to a 13-7 record this season, earning the #2 seed in the upcoming VIC Tournament. Oditt’s Tigers have also played well enough to earn the recognition of voters state wide, sitting at #8 in the current VISAA State Poll. These team accomplishments have been achieved with just one returning player from last year’s squad.
In response to the news, Oditt commented that “any time you earn a recognition like Coach of the Year, you are standing on the shoulders of great players and, in this case, great assistant coaches”
Hargrave will be back in action Tuesday against Holy Cross for a VIC Tournament Quarterfinal game. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 in the Walter Davis Gymnasium.
