PG’s defeat Jirah Prep, FUMA next!

On a cold saturday night, the Post Graduate football team came away with the victory in there last home game of the year. The PG Tigers beat the visting Jirah Prep Warriors 28-0 to move their season record to 6-3.

The offense was led by Isaac Robinson who rushed for 115 yards and 1 touchdown on the evening. All scores were from the ground on the evening as Jestin Brown, James Summers, and Jerimy Mask each had rushing scores. James Summers threw for 121 yards with the biggest gain going to Willie Stubblefield on a quick pass and catch that Stubblefield turned into a 49 yard gain. On the run, WR Antoine Barnes laid a big block to help spring the run.

The defensive side had another steller night as the held Jirah scoreless for the game. Shaq Lawson led everyone with 8 tackles, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery. Defensive Back Tristan Walker had a big night securing 2 of the defense’s 5 Interceptions. Dominique Green, Derrick Holmes, and Brian Nance each accounted for 1 Interception. Tevin Barnes had 3 tackles from his free safety position on the night.

The PG Tigers now turn their attention to next week’s game with rival FORK UNION MILITARY ACADEMY. This will be the season finally for both schools and a year’s worth of bragging rights on the line. The game will kickoff next Saturday, November 10th and 1 p.m. from Fork Union, VA.
