This weekend was the last swim meet that will be hosted by Hargrave during this year’s High School and USA Short-course seasons.
From Dec, 1 to Feb 17, Hargrave played host to 10 swim meets. Four of these were small dual meets between Hargrave and another school. The other six were major meets. The numbers break down like this:

Most coaches work towards an end of season meet and consider improvements made there to be the most important of the season. One of the meets we hosted was the VSIS Championship meet, which is the end-of-season meet for High School. Some noteworthy statistics from that meet include:

41% of the Women recorded improved times
56% of the Men recorded improved times
64% of the relay teams recorded improved times
4 State records were broken.
