For the week of October 3-9, MaxPreps/NSCAA has selected senior captain Raines Wall (Chatham, VA) as their Player of the Week for the state of Virginia. This is the first time for this season Wall was selected and second overall in the last two years. During that week, Wall collected eight goals and three assists as the Tigers went 3-0 for the week with wins over Roanoke Valley Christian, Miller School, and Fork Union Military Academy.
“It’s a big testament to the time I have put into the sport over the last four years, and I’m extremely thankful to my team, my coach, and my family for helping me achieve this honor,” stated Wall on collecting his second player of the week honor.
On the season, Wall has scored 25 goals (second in the conference), 12 assists (third in the conference), and has 62 points (second in the conference). “This is the third time this season we have had a player selected and sixth time overall in the last two seasons,” stated head coach Jeremy Eubank. “This is a direct result of our players buying into the school and program, which is great to have as this is selected by one of the world’s largest coaches organization.”
