Rifle Wins Against Fishburne

The HMA Rifle team’s losing streak, which goes back at least two years, has been broken!  The young men worked very hard and shot well.  Hargrave defeated Fishburne (last year’s state champ) with a score of 885 to 856.  Out of the 16 shooters (8 of ours vs 8 of theirs), Dylan Moss had the top overall score with a score of 257, and Chandler Wilkie took 2nd with a score of 247.  Fishburne then had the next 4 scores.  In 7th, our number three shooter, was Michael Hatcher with a 194.  Coming in 8th out of 16, our other scoring shooter, was first-year marksman John Mauriello with an impressive first match score of 187.  These four young men were our scoring shooters, and performed very well.  Though they did not score for the team, AJ Thomas, Aidan Steinbach, Ian Barkhuizen, and Giovany Hernandez all competed well.
