Ryne Sigmon, Class of 2013, signed a partial athletic scholarship to play baseball at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Ryne was a 4 year cadet from Danville, VA that played baseball under Scott Roach. He just completed one year at Danville Community College playing for John Bailey.
Ryne was a 4 year start for Hargrave and a mainstay in the top of the order. He was acknowledged on the conference and state level during his time here at Hargrave. He posted a career 447 batting average, while slugging out 5 home runs and over 60 RBI’s. In the words of Coach Roach, “Ryne brought a lot to our program. During his time here, Ryne accomplished as much or maybe more than any other player that I had the pleasure of coaching. One of the best to come out of this area and out of Hargrave.”
