Spiritual Emphasis Week 2022 Kicks Off Sunday

Greetings from The Hargrave Military Academy. As the Chaplain of Hargrave, I am excited to announce this year’s Spiritual Emphasis Week. Spiritual Emphasis Week (SEW) is an annual event designed to foster the spiritual revitalization of Hargrave’s Corps of Cadets. It is when the Faith pillar at Hargrave Military Academy takes front and center across the campus. Cadets and staff will be encouraged to take ownership of their spiritual development.

I am pleased to announce that this year’s guest speaker will be Bill Paige. Bill is a gifted, passionate speaker whose broad appeal is anchored in a depth of life experience that includes 20 years of police and detective work in and around the New York City metropolitan area. In addition, Bill served 14 years as the associate chaplain at Children’s Village, working with emotionally disturbed boys in the city, as well as 21 years of senior leadership in Young Life. Bill is currently retired from Young Life but is still considered a valuable and utilized tool of the ministry.

As an ordained minister, Bill brings a wealth of valuable insight into emotional and behavioral problems among young people. His communication gifts combined with his life experience and honed insight put him in very high demand in this country and worldwide as a speaker.

This year’s activities will also include several other guest and musical artists such as Cory Thomas (Chang3), whose ministry through Hip Hop will excite, engage, and empower the cadets, as well as Bryan Drake, who is a Christian illusionist and speaker for this generation! His gospel presentation is woven into every illusion he performs, lending itself to an unbelievable presentation and powerful message.

The event is scheduled to kick off on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at 6 pm and then continue Monday through Thursday at 1:00 pm in the Cheatham Chapel on the campus of Hargrave Military Academy.
