Hargrave 5 – Carlisle 4
The Tigers secured the #1 seed in the VIC South by defeating North Cross School for a second time in as many weeks, 5-4. The singles winners were Robert Dye, Alex Moore and Andrew Lu. In doubles, Alex Moore teamed up with Adam Mallin to win at #3 doubles. Dye teamed up with Thomas Moore and won the last match of the day at # 2 doubles, 8-6 to secure the victory. Since it is the VIC South’s turn to host the the semi-final VIC tournament this year, Hargrave earned the priviledge to host the tournament as the #1 seed to represent the VIC South. The match is this Saturday, May 13th at the Landon Tennis Center. The Tigers will play the #2 seed from the VIC North Saturday morning which appears to be VES. The Tigers close the overall regular dual match season with a record of 8-3 (5-1 in the VIC). Eastern Mennonite will be the #1 seed from the VIC North and will play this Saturday morning at Chatham Hall against the winner of tomorrow’s dual match between North Cross and Carlisle. Go Tigers!
