Comments:
The Tigers lost their non-conference opener in a very close match. Singles winners for the Tigers were Spencer Fleming, Justin Jay, and Andrew Lu. In doubles, the team of Adam Malin and Lu won their match. With the team score tied 4-4 and a light rain falling from the evening sky, the doubles team of Andrew McIntyre and Derek Shepard fought back from a 1-4 deficit to 6-6 before finally succumbing with a score of 6-8.
The Tigers are 0-1 (0-0 VIC) for the season. Varsity Tiger Tennis will next travel to FUMA next Thursday, March 22 for a 4:30 match. The JV Tennis team will open its season at Sacred Heart next Thursday, March 22 at 4 pm.
