Tanner Robinette Commits to Marshall

Hargrave Military Academy forward Tanner Robinette (Honaker, VA) announced his commitment to Marshall University following an official visit on campus this week. The bruising 6’7″ forward came to Hargrave after a decorated high school career that saw him score more than 2,000 career points and collect over 1,500 rebounds. In his senior season at Honaker High School, he had jaw-dropping averages of 28 points, 16.6 rebounds and five blocks per game. Robinette chose Marshall out of a crowded field of schools recruiting him this fall.  Head Coach A.W. Hamilton spoke recently about Tanner’s commitment:

“I’m thrilled for Tanner and his family. Tanner is a phenomenal young man who has worked extremely hard to get where he is today. Marshall is truly a special place, and they are getting a special player.”

Robinette joins Xavier commit Naji Marshall and West Virginia commit Brandon Knapper as the first three Tigers to come off the board this fall. Be sure to check out Tanner and the rest of the Post-Graduate basketball team at Hargrave’s annual “Midnight Madness” event, Meet the Tigers, which kicks off at 7:00pm on Thursday, October 13th.
