After falling at Bishop Sullivan on Friday night, the Hargrave Military Academy JV Basketball team bounced back with a great win on Saturday at Norfolk Collegiate. The Tigers record now sits at 4-4 overall and 0-1 in VIC play.
In a tough game against Bishop Sullivan, in which the Tigers could only amass six points in the final period of play, they needed a bright spot to salvage their weekend trip to Virginia Beach. Junior Wade Thomas did just that on Saturday afternoon.
Thomas torched the nets to the tune of 46 points, no three any bigger than the shot he nailed from the deep corner near the Hargrave bench with 3.6 seconds left in regulation to give the Tigers a 59-56 victory over the Oaks of Norfolk Collegiate.
The Tigers are back in action on Tuesday, January 30th as they take on VIC opponent, Miller School, at Walter Davis Gymnasium. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:30 PM.
