The Tigers came out with the burden of a 17-point loss to Chatham High School weighing heavily on their minds; they desired to ensure Chatham a more difficult game this time out. The Tigers did exactly that with signature pressure and fast-break scoring, jumping out to an early lead over Chatham. Aggressive rebounding and physical play proved to keep Chatham out of an offensive rhythm, and Hargrave sustained a 10 – 15 point lead for most of the game as they wore out their opponent on the floor. Hargrave came away with it in the end, 48- 34. Lovelace had 12.
