Tigers Beat Covenant 50-46

The Tigers defeated Covenant School 50 to 46 avenging their 10 point loss earlier in the year.  The Tigers were physically tired from the late return home the previous night after beating EMHS in double overtime.  However, the Tigers were mentally tough throughout a very closely contested game.  Once again, the Tigers took an early lead and increased it throughout the game, leading by as much as 10 at one point.  Covenant wouldn’t go away though and mounted a comeback in the fourth quarter.  Covenant took a two point lead with just over three minutes remaining when Hargrave took a time out to regroup and be reminded that mental toughness in the face of being physically tired would get them back in the game.  The Tigers outscored Covenant 8-2 down the stretch to pull out a 50-46 victory to run their season record to 6-5.  Seven Tigers scored on the day led by Cadet Ragland with 19.  Cadets Posley and Jennings chipped in with 7 each and Cadet Jacobs added 6 to the balanced attack.
